Hello, friends.
A lot of the day’s action has already wrapped up, but there are some good games on the slate for this evening.
The Diamondbacks beat the Marlins again. The Cubs walloped the Dodgers by scoring 11 runs. The Giants blew a one-run lead in the ninth to lose 9-8 to Colorado (eat it, Giants).
Two important games for the Braves’ place in the standings are happening soon. The Nationals and Phillies square off in Philadelphia, with Aaron Nola facing Tanner Roark. Bryce Harper has been moved back to leadoff for Washington. The red-hot Reds (I think they’re the hottest team in baseball now) will try to do to the Brewers what they did to the Braves earlier this week. Anthony DeSclafani, who hit a grand slam in his last outing, takes the ball for Cincy while the Brewers are starting the surprisingly good Junior Guerra.
And, as usual, game threads and open threads are a great time to ask questions and get answers. And keep me company as I work most of the evening.
Kablammo!
