The Atlanta Braves could be moving closer to getting Ronald Acuña Jr. back in the lineup. Brian Snitker told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s David O’Brien on Wednesday that Acuña will start hitting off of a tee in the next couple of days. If everything goes well and he is able to ramp up his activity, then a rehab assignment sometime next week seems possible.
#Braves' Acuna will start hitting off a tee in next couple of days, Snitker wouldn't commit to timetable for when might begin rehab assignment. (But next week sounds like reasonable expectation)

Acuña suffered a scary looking knee injury while legging out an infield single against the Red Sox back on May 27. He walked off the field under his own power and an MRI exam revealed no structural damage.
Acuña had cooled off after a hot start but was hitting .265/.326/.453 with five home runs in 29 games. Charlie Culberson and Preston Tucker have seen the bulk of playing time in left field with Acuña sidelined.
