Julio Teheran comes out flat yet again
The Braves veteran has had some clunkers already this season but yesterday was just about as rough as they come. The right hander gave up nine runs (7 earned) in just 4.1 innings of work and now holds an ERA close to 4.50.
Max Fried dominates in latest rehab start
On a slightly brighter note Max Fried was dominant in his latest minor league rehab start and could very well be on his way back into the Braves rotation as soon as the team feels he’s 100%. Fried could end up becoming the biggest key to the Braves success down the stretch if he were to continue pitching the way he was before getting injured.
What do the Braves need at the deadline?
CBS took a look at some problem areas for the Braves and some possible solutions for Atlanta. The obvious need is in the bullpen but another need that may not be as obvious is in the starting rotation where Atlanta might need to add a front line starter to have any hopes of moving on in the Postseason.

The rich got richer yesterday and the Brox Bombers picked up a rental bullpen piece in Zach Britton. The Braves were rumored to be one of the teams in on Britton right until the very end. The Yankees ended up sending back three minor league players for what is essentially two months of Britton.

Don’t try to mess with the Pirates right now because they’re sizzling hot. The team rattled off their eleventh straight win yesterday in grand fashion and are beginning to look like a serious contender to take the NL crown with young and exciting talent all over the place.
