As expected, the Atlanta Braves activated Max Fried from the 10-day disabled list. He will start Saturday’s game against the Los Angeles Dodgers. To make room on the active roster, Atlanta optioned outfielder Preston Tucker to Triple-A Gwinnett.
The #Braves today returned LHP Max Fried from his rehabilitation assignment and reinstated him from the 10-day disabled list. In order to make room on the active roster, the club optioned OF Preston Tucker to Triple-A Gwinnett.

The Braves placed Fried on the disabled list back on July 6 due to blister problems on his pitching hand. He made a pair of successful rehab appearances and will now rejoin the rotation.
Preston Tucker began the season on the Braves’ Opening Day roster but has seen limited opportunities since Ronald Acuna Jr. took over in left and eventually was sent to Triple-A to get playing time. He was recalled to Atlanta on July 13 but has seen action in just six games where he was 2-for-5 at the plate with a double and a homer.
This move once again gives Atlanta 13 pitchers on the active roster.
