Update - Multiple reports now suggest that the Braves are not in on Harvey after all. It never felt like anything more than a fall back option in the first place if they don’t get Archer.
Confirming @JonHeyman report that the #Braves are not involved in Matt Harvey trade discussions

Asked earlier today about #Braves' reported interest in #Reds' Matt Harvey and was told by someone who'd know that they were not in on him. They're not involved in that pursuit.

Just over three hours remaining until the MLB Trade Deadline and it is becoming clear that the Atlanta Braves are focused on adding to their starting rotation. They are already to be one of the teams pushing hardest for Tampa Bay righ-hander Chris Archer but may have also kicked the tires on Cincinnati reclamation project Matt Harvey.
USA Today’s Bob Nightengale reports that the Braves and the Brewers have expressed the strongest interest in Harvey.
The #Reds have every intention to trade Matt Harvey today, or at worst, pass him through waivers, and per @nightengalejr, the #Brewers and #Braves have expressed the strongest interest. The #Cubs also have had dialogue. https://t.co/dhySMlSF9B

In a lot of ways this feels like a fall back option. Atlanta has been chasing a starter that is under team control while Harvey will be a free agent at season’s end. If they fall completely out of the Archer race then this could be a possibility as the asking price wouldn’t be anywhere close to that of Archer.
After posting a 5.68 ERA in New York, Harvey has a 4.67 mark in 14 starts with the Reds.
Will file this one away as an unappealing option but we will see what happens.
