Braves place Peter Moylan on 10-day disabled list with forearm strain

Moylan to the DL to make room for Kolby Allard on active roster.

The Atlanta Braves have placed reliever Peter Moylan on the 10-day disabled list with a right forearm strain and have called up left-handed starter Kolby Allard. Allard will make his major league debut Tuesday night, weather permitting against the Miami Marlins.

This is Moylan’s second trip to the DL this season due to his forearm. The Braves were forced to activate him before the All-Star break when Arodys Vizcaino went on the disabled list with shoulder problems unexpectedly.

Moylan has struggled for the most part this season appearing in 39 games while posting a 4.45 ERA in 28 1/3 innings.
