Freddie Freeman left Wednesday’s game after being hit by a pitch in the third inning. Freeman was struck above the elbow in his right arm by a fastball from CC Sabathia that ran a bit far inside. Freeman initially remained in the game to play defense in the bottom half of the inning but exited before the Braves’ batted in the fourth.
Charlie Culberson replaced Freeman at first base.

UPDATE - The Braves announced that Freeman left today’s game with a right upper arm contusion. Presumedly he is day-to-day.
