Ronald Acuña Jr. leaves game with groin tightness, to be evaluated tomorrow

Just a few games after returning from the disabled list, injury woes have struck the rookie again.

As you may already know, Ronald Acuña Jr. left tonight’s game against the Brewers with what the team later called groin tightness. He appeared to suffer the injury beating out an infield single in the seventh inning. That play ended up scoring the game’s second run, but the rally fell short and the Braves lost the game anyway, adding insult to Acuña’s injury.

The injury does not sound serious, and Brian Snitker indicated that Acuña could be back in as soon as tomorrow, depending on how he is evaluated before the game.
