Braves’ Inciarte pulled from game for not hustling
Ender Inciarte was removed from Sunday’s game after he failed to run out a pop up which was dropped by Brewers’ shortstop Tyler Saladino. Inciarte also had another running gaffe earlier in the game when he was called out while trying to move up to second base on a fly out to center. Braves manager Brian Snitker confirmed to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s David O’Brien that Inciarte’s lack of hustle was the reason for his removal. Inciarte also spoke about the play and the decision to pull him from the ball game.
“He did what he had to do,” Inciarte said. “He’s got to set an example and start somewhere, and if I’ve got to be the guy pulled out of the game to show what we’ve got to do, I’m OK with it.”
