Braves go with regular starters in opener vs. Pirates

Ender Inciarte continues to get at-bats from the 2 spot in the lineup.

The Braves had pretty good luck with their lineups against the Pirates last week when they swept them in a 3 game set at PNC Park.

Today the Braves will go with a familiar lineup with Ender Inciarte continuing to get at-bats from the two hole in the lineup as he’s come around somewhat of late. If the Braves can find ways to get 5 runs on the board they’ll likely have a solid chance of winning these games against the Pirates who have a rough time scoring.

The Pirates were shut out last night and that is beginning to become somewhat of a regular problem for the visitors. Their pitching has been the one thing keeping them afloat for some time now and even lately that has begun to fade as well along with their playoff hopes.

It should be an interesting series, but it is a pivotal one for the Braves who have a real opportunity to gain momentum in this final month of the season that will decide the team’s fate. Stay tuned.
