Lineup stays static as Dallas Keuchel will throw to Brian McCann for Game 4

The former Astros battery is no stranger to the big stage

MLB: NLDS-St. Louis Cardinals at Atlanta Braves Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports

The Braves can lock down a trip to the NLCS today, and they will attempt to do so behind Dallas Keuchel’s left arm.

The lineup has stayed pretty consistent throughout the NLDS, with Brian McCann logging nearly every inning behind the plate. This is a notable development for how well Keuchel threw to Tyler Flowers this season, but McCann’s leadership qualities have earned him a spot in the lineup for the fourth consecutive game of this series. Here’s how Brian Snitker will roll out the Braves today:

Fresh off their game-altering clutch antics, Dansby Swanson and Adam Duvall will retain their previous roles, hitting eighth and sitting on the bench, respectively. Matt Joyce, who has struggled in this series, continues to start in the outfield, but having Duvall on the bench has proven invaluable twice in the last three days. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it (I guess??).

St. Louis manager Mike Schildt will send the Cardinals out as such:

As noted in the preview, Cards righty Dakota Hudson will take the mound today opposite Keuchel.

First pitch is scheduled for 3:07pm ET.
