Baseball Prospectus released their Top 20 list of the best Atlanta Braves prospects for 2020 earlier this week. The Top 10 is much as you would expect with outfielder Cristian Pache settling into the top spot on the list.
He is followed by Ian Anderson, Drew Waters and Kyle Muller with 2019 first round pick Shea Langeliers rounding out the Top 5.
The back half of the Top 10 features right-handers Kyle Wright and Bryse Wilson, catcher William Contreras, infielder Braden Shewmake and pitcher Jasseel De La Cruz who was recently added to the 40-man roster.
One of the interesting things noted in the write up is that BP projects Pache, Anderson, Waters, Muller and De La Cruz to make their major league debuts at some point in 2020. While all probably won’t see enough time to lose their rookie status this season, the Braves minor league system will soon take on a very different look.
That is highlighted a bit in No’s 11-20 on BP’s list. It is an interesting read and if you are a BP subscriber then you should definitely check it out.
