Well, things have gotten very interesting when it comes to Atlanta’s lineup for tonight’s game. Even though there’s a very good chance that this game is going to get rained out, I sure wish that we can get to see this game tonight because this lineup contains an element that I’ve personally wanted to see for a long time.
That element in particular is Nick Markakis serving as the leadoff hitter. Yes, it’s true. It’s actually happening. If you still don’t believe me, then see it for yourself.
Ozzie Albies is getting the night off, so Johan Camargo will continue to show his versatility as he’ll be getting the start at second base. The lack of Ozzie meant that the Braves needed a new leadoff hitter for tonight’s game. Normally this role would go to Ender Inciarte, but it appears that Brian Snitker has figured out that batting Ender at the top of the lineup is not a good idea, but putting Markakis up there is indeed a good idea. Again, I really hope that the rain holds off because I really want to see this.
Meanwhile, here’s the lineup for the Reds:
As I mentioned in the preview, the two most dangerous men in this lineup as far as Julio Teheran and his history against the guys playing tonight are concerned are Derek Dietrich and Yasiel Puig. If Julio can avoid getting into a mess induced by those two, then maybe the Braves will leave Ohio with two series victories against both of the teams that call this state their home.
