MLB: Miami Marlins at Atlanta Braves Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports

The Atlanta Braves return to SunTrust Park on Friday where they will open a seven-game homestand with a three-game series against the Colorado Rockies. Atlanta just completed a 3-3 road trip where they took a series win in Cleveland but stumbled dropping 2 of 3 to the Reds in Cincinnati.

Colorado got off to a rough start this season going 3-12 over the first 15 games. They have been playing much better of late and are 8-2 over their last 10. Atlanta took both games of a weather shortened series back on April 8-9 in Colorado.

Friday, April 26, 7:20 p.m. ET (Fox Sports South)

Antonio Senzatela (2019: 2 GS, 12.2 IP, 13.7 K%, 3.9 BB%, 3.55 ERA, 3.75 FIP, 3.92 xFIP)

Right-hander Antonio Senzatela will get the nod in the series opener for Colorado on Friday. He’s made just two starts this season but has been solid in both. He allowed seven hits and four runs over six innings in his last outing against the Phillies. He has made two career appearances against the Braves allowing two runs in seven innings.

Max Fried (2019: 6 G, 4 GS, 26.0 IP, 17.3 K%, 6.7 BB%, 1.38 ERA, 3.15 FIP, 4.12 xFIP)

Max Fried has been one of the biggest surprises of the season so far for the Braves and he will be looking to keep it going in Friday’s series opener. Fried has made four starts since joining the rotation and has gone at least six innings in each. He allowed seven hits, two runs and struck out six in his last start against the Indians.

Saturday, April 27, 7:20 p.m. ET (Fox Sports South)

Jon Gray (2019: 5 GS, 32.1 IP, 23.6 K%, 10.2 BB%, 2.78 ERA, 4.26 FIP, 3.95 xFIP)

Right-handed Jon Gray is off to a great start in 2019 and will be looking to continue that on Saturday. Gray allowed eight earned runs over his first two starts (12.2 innings) but has allowed just two runs over his last three combined (19.2 innings). He allowed two hits and struck out five over six shutout innings in his last start against the Phillies.

Mike Foltynewicz (2018: 31 GS, 183.0 IP, 27.2 K%, 9.1 BB%, 2.85 ERA, 3.37 FIP, 3.77 xFIP)

Mike Foltynewicz will be activated from the injured list and make his 2019 season debut on Saturday for the Braves. Foltynewicz made just one appearance this spring before experiencing elbow soreness which delayed his start to the season. Folty made four rehab starts at Gwinnett in preparation for his debut.

Sunday, April 28, 1:20 p.m. ET (Fox Sports South)

Tyler Anderson (2019: 3 GS, 12.0 IP, 14.3 K%, 9.5 BB%, 12.00 ERA, 6.37 FIP, 5.18 xFIP)

Lefty Tyler Anderson will get the start for the Rockies in Sunday’s series finale and is looking to get on track this season. Anderson lasted just three innings and allowed four hits and five runs against the Nationals in his last start. He has allowed a total of 22 hits and 16 runs over 12 innings so far this season.

Kevin Gausman (2019: 4 GS, 25.0 IP, 28.6 K%, 8.2 BB%, 3.96 ERA, 3.92 FIP, 3.66 xFIP)

The Braves will counter with right-hander Kevin Gausman in the series finale. Gausman is off to a good start but was inconsistent last time out against the Reds where he allowed eight hits and five earned runs over 5 1/3 innings. That was Gausman’s shortest outing of the season to date.
