The Braves may have found a sleeper in the fifth round of the 2019 MLB Draft in Stephen Paolini.

The Atlanta Braves fifth round pick in the 2019 MLB Draft is a guy not many had information on. Stephen Paolini, a high school outfielder from Connecticut who is committed to Elon. I admit I had very limited notes on him, and what he can do - but the Braves were kind enough to provide some information on this pick

Braves area scout Ted Lekas seems to have uncovered a gem. Paolini is a plus runner who should hit for some power from the left side and profiles in center field with the ability to play all three outfield positions.

The information I had on him from the 2018 WWBA World Championships- a wood bat tournament- is that he’s got a projectable frame and swing built to be a power hitter in the future, but for now is able to drive the ball. He takes good at bats and has a solid eye, which together with a swing built for power makes him interesting.
