Tonight begins the third series of a nine-game home stand for the Braves, and hopefully they can ride their momentum into a victory. The Braves are 5-0-2 in their last seven series, including a recent split against these same Marlins.
For a game between two teams that are 27 ½ games apart in the standings, there sure are plenty of fun story lines to track this evening.
Will Ronald Acuña, Jr. steal his 30th base tonight and join the 30/30 club? Will he hit a home run and walk - literally walk - around the bases in an act of defiance? Will Dallas Keuchel let the Marlins score 12 runs on him tonight, as opposed to the eight he allowed against them last time around? Can Rafael Ortega electrify the SunTrust crowd against his old team? Is tonight the night the Marlins’ unlikely 1-2 punch of Starlin Castro and Elieser Hernandez continue their Hall of Fame level play (which only happens when they play the Braves), or will they mercifully return to Earth?
To discuss all these storylines and more, your presence is requested in the comments section this evening. We want you to be equipped with every available piece of Braves-related information, or at least enough to know what you’re talking about, so please take advantage of these links:
