The Atlanta Braves added four players to their roster prior to Sunday’s series finale against the Chicago White Sox. As expected Atlanta activated catcher Brian McCann from the 10-day injured list. They also recalled infielder Johan Camargo along with relievers Chad Sobotka and Jeremy Walker.

McCann had been on the injured list due to a knee sprain that was thought to be relatively minor. His return will give the Braves three catchers on their active roster along with Tyler Flowers and Francisco Cervelli.
Camargo seemed to benefit from consistent playing time while with the Stripers going 28-for-58 with a a pair of homers in 14 games.
Sobotka hasn’t had quite as much success at the major league level as he did last season but has a live arm and will provide some depth for the bullpen. He has made 27 appearances out of Atlanta’s bullpen this season posting a 5.54 ERA (5.14 FIP) in 26 innings.
Walker has turned in a solid season for Mississippi and Gwinnett. He also was impressive in two appearances with Atlanta allowing one run over 6 1/3 innings in two appearances. He will give the Braves another multi-inning option to utilize out of the bullpen.
For now, Austin Riley will continue to get at-bats with the Stripers who will take part in the Governor’s Cup semifinals next week. He and others such as Adam Duvall, Kyle Wright and Bryse Wilson could join the major league roster at some point.
