Despite injuries, Braves still confident in postseason bench
Injuries to Johan Camargo and Charlie Culberson has caused Atlanta’s bench depth to dwindle as the season comes to a close but the Braves remain confident in the group that they have available.
“We have better options and more reliable, solid options that we could go to than last year,” Snitker said. “The one thing we’ve been bitten by with the injuries is our bench. What was really a strong looking bench (was because of) guys we don’t have anymore. We lost some guys due to injury. Before that, you look at the guys we have here, especially when Camargo came back, and it’d still be good, but we lost some versatility in that bench with the injuries.”

An MRI on Yankees left-hander James Paxton’s left shoulder revealed only nerve irritation in his left glue and he is expected to be ready to start Game 1 of the division series. Paxton left after the first inning of Friday’s start against Texas due to tightness and discomfort.
