Josh Donaldson, Johan Camargo homer to lead Braves over Blue Jays 6-3
Josh Donaldson and Johan Camargo homered while the bullpen locked down the final four innings for the Braves in a 6-3 win over the Toronto Blue Jays Monday afternoon. Coupled with a Nationals’ loss to the Mets, Atlanta now has a 6.5 game lead in the NL East division. Donaldson’s homer was his 34th of the season and he again celebrated in the dugout with his teammates and an umbrella which was perfect timing after Breaking T released a brand new Donaldson shirt earlier in the day entitled “Cloudy With A Chance Of Longballs.”
Cox at SunTrust Park for 1st time since stroke
Hall of Fame manager Bobby Cox returned to SunTrust Park Monday for the first time since suffering a stroke back on April 2. Cox was accompanied by his wife and daughter and daughter and sat in the box with other Braves executives. He received a loud ovation from the crowd when shown on the scoreboard between innings.

Eaton to undergo MRI on balky right knee
In addition to losing a game in the standings to the Braves, the Nationals may have lost outfielder Adam Eaton due two an injured right knee. Eaton exited Monday’s loss to the Mets early and is scheduled to undergo an MRI Tuesday. Sunday was his first start since he was hit in the knee this past Wednesday. Eaton has appeared in 128 games while hitting .288/.376/.435 this season.
Yankees To Activate Edwin Encarnacion
The New York Yankees will get a key piece of their lineup back on Tuesday after Edwin Encarnacion completed his rehab assignment on Monday. Encarnacion appeared in 36 games with the Yankees after he was acquired in a mid-June trade with the Mariners before going on the injured list on August 3.
