Braves take sixth straight behind five scoreless innings from Folty
Mike Foltynewicz managed to complete five shutout innings before being pulled with only 76 pitches, which was later revealed as a response to some type of illness. Offensively, the Braves jumped out to a 4-0 lead before piling on late to earn a 7-2 win. Josh Donaldson and Tyler Flowers each drove in three runs to pace the Atlanta attack.
Braves recall AJ Minter and Bryse Wilson
The Braves added two highly-touted arms to their major league roster on Tuesday, with AJ Minter and Bryse Wilson being recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett. Both Minter and Wilson have struggled mightily at the major league level this season, but have enjoyed success in the minor leagues recently.

Melancon was one of baseball’s best closers a few years ago, recording a National League-leading 51 saves for Pittsburgh in 2015 and 47 saves in a 2016 season split between the Pirates and Washington Nationals. After signing a four-year $62 million free-agent contract with the Giants, a complicated forearm injury sidelined him for chunks of the 2017 season, required pronator muscle surgery in September 2017 and continued to bother him throughout 2018. He finally felt 100% healthy again this year.
