LaMarre will be added to the Twins’ 40-man roster taking the spot of Michael Pineda who was given a 60-game suspension earlier this week. He however, will not be eligible for the postseason.
LaMarre was eligible to be traded because he signed a minor-league contract. The July 31 trade deadline applies only to players with major-league contracts.
