The Atlanta Braves brought in veteran starter Cole Hamels in hopes that he can soak up some innings and provide some veteran leadership for their young pitching staff. Hamels talked about being veteran mentor, his decision to join the Braves and his outlook for the 2020 season with 680 The Fan’s Kevin McAlpin at Chop Fest. Hamels also gave an update on the oblique injury that sidelined him for a portion of the 2019 season and said that he is healthy and ready for spring training.
