The Braves have waited 19 years for a night like they experienced on Monday, and even though it was a tough road, the offense delivered in full force when it counted. Austin Riley blasted a go-ahead, game-winning homer in the ninth inning, which was followed by three more runs thanks to Ronald Acuna, Marcell Ozuna, and Ozzie Albies. Atlanta won 5-1 after Max Fried and the Braves bullpen stifled the Dodgers. This recipe for success has become commonplace for the Braves this postseason, but as long as they keep winning, nobody will care. The Atlanta Braves have a 1-0 in the NLCS.

Adam Duvall leaves Game 1 with injury (UPDATED)
The Braves lost Adam Duvall to an oblique injury in game one. The outfielder appears likely to be removed from the roster for the remainder of the series (and the playoffs), which will undoubtedly be a blow for Atlanta. Duvall brings power and defense in the outfield, and would have been especially valuable in matchups against Kershaw, Urias, Wood, and other left-handers for the Dodgers.
