The 2020 MLB Season will come to a close at some point this week with either the Los Angeles Dodgers or Tampa Bay Rays hoisting the trophy. Once the World Series is over, the league will quickly shift into what will be an interesting to watch offseason. There are plenty of unanswered questions for what the 2021 season will look like and how a shortened season will affect arbitration eligible players and free agency.

We recently began our yearly review of the Atlanta Braves roster. We will be wrapping up the players who left the organization during the 2020 season Monday and moving on to the upcoming free agents. In the meantime, here is a look at a couple of players in Matt Adams and Jhoulys Chacin, whose second stints with Atlanta didn’t go so well.

World Series News

Cody Bellinger was moved to designated hitter shortly before game time of Game 4 due to stiffness in his lower back. The Dodgers said that Bellinger is day-to-day and he was back in the outfield for Game 5 on Sunday.

The Rays announced Sunday that they will go with Blake Snell as their starter for Game 6. Snell allowed two runs over 4 2/3 innings in Game 2.

Tampa’s walk-off win in Game 4 was an instant classic and is one of many crazy finishes in World Series history.

MLB News

The Orioles have an agreement with utilityman Stevie Wilkerson on a minor-league contract for 2021 that also includes an invite to spring training.
