After playing both of their Wild Card Round games in the middle of the day, the entire Braves-Marlins series has been selected for 2:08 p.m. ET start times, with the possible exception of Game 5. Here is the schedule:
Game 1 - Tuesday, October 6 at 2:08 p.m. ET (FOX Sports 1)
Game 2 - Wednesday, October 7 at 2:08 p.m. ET (MLB Network)
Game 3 - Thursday, October 8 at 2:08 p.m. ET (FOX Sports 1)
Game 4 - Friday, October 9 at 2:08 p.m. ET (if necessary; FOX Sports 1)
Game 5 - Saturday, October 10 at 4:08 p.m. ET (if necessary; FOX Sports 1)
The middle of the day start times should not come as a big surprise given the Yankees and Dodgers (and their gigantic TV markets) advanced to the Division Series as well. There was zero chance the Atlanta-Miami series was getting a prime time slot, and with MLB opting for no off-days in the series, they’re competing with three other games every day in the TV viewership pecking order.
The entire NLDS will be broadcast on FOX Sports 1, with the exception of Game 2, which is pegged for MLB Network. Make your viewing plans accordingly.
We will continue to have updates on the roster, umpire pairings and much more over the next 48 hours leading up to first pitch. Stay tuned.
