While Braves fans have been anticipating Atlanta’s roster more than anything and were not disappointed when it was released earlier this morning, the Marlins playoff roster had a certain amount of intrigue and importance as well, particularly with the fate of Starling Marte who is dealing with a pinkie injury as well as rotation options beyond the three known options.
News broke reasonably quickly that the Marlins will not have the services of Starling Marte for the NLDS. While Marte has not had much success against the Braves this season, he is still one of their more dangerous bats so this is a welcome development for the Braves’ chances.
Miami Marlins will be without Outfielder Starling Marte in the NLDS per sources.

As for the rest of the Marlins’ playoff roster, the Marlins did end up including lefties Trevor Rogers and Dan Castano on the playoff roster and seem like options to start Game Four or to come in for long relief if needed. There isn’t going to be any guesswork on Marte miraculously returning later in the series as he was officially left off their NLDS roster. He is on the taxi squad, so there is that.
