The Atlanta Braves have maintained that they aren’t concerned with Freddie Freeman’s elbow and that him being scratched from Tuesday’s lineup was just precautionary. Alex Anthopoulos doubled down on that Wednesday telling the Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s Gabe Burns that Freeman is expected to return to the lineup next week and that the team isn’t concerned with the status of his elbow.

The Braves have maintained that the discomfort Freeman experienced Tuesday was due to an increase in activity over the first couple of weeks of camp. Hopefully this isn’t a situation that lingers and the Braves would probably be wise to limit Freeman’s activity throughout the remainder of the spring.
