We all miss baseball. In fact even baseball with a rotten result is better than no baseball at all. Flashback one year to March 28, 2019 and Opening Day in Philadelphia which was the earliest regular-season game for the Braves in team history. You remember it right? It started with an Andrew McCutchen leadoff homer and ended with a grand slam by Rhys Hoskins to cap off a 10-4 loss. Atlanta would go on to lose all three games of the opening series and a subset of Braves Twitter would declare the season over.

ESPN’s Jeff Passan and Kiley McDaniel break down the new agreement between the league and the players and determine what it means for the 2020 season and beyond. If you are fuzzy on the details of the new deal, then this is a good a primer as you are going to find.
Everyone wasn’t pleased with the new arrangement and particularly the changes to the MLB Draft. Super agent Scott Boras responded when asked for his thoughts that it “sends the wrong message.”
“For owners to do this to these young men, who are so passionate about baseball, is something that they need to examine their conscience,” Boras told USA TODAY Sports in a story published Friday. “More kids will have to go to [college]. And anyone not taken among the top 200 players will have to go back to school.”
Whenever the draft does take place this year, Detroit GM Alex Avila says that his team will be ready. The Tigers own the top pick in the draft and have already gotten multiple looks at some of the top draft prospects.
