It is nice to see the Atlanta Braves setting the standard when it comes to taking care of their employees. ESPN’s Kiley McDaniel reported Saturday that the Braves have notified both their full-time and part-time employees that they will be paid through May 31. McDaniel adds that they are the first known MLB club to give their employees assurances beyond the end of April.
It is easy to forget many of the low level staffers or stadium workers that have seen their lives upended by the coronavirus pandemic with the postponement of the MLB season. Kudos to the Braves for this gesture and hopefully more teams follow their example.
