Greg Maddux’s brilliance to be featured on MLB Network

Tuesday will feature some of the best performances of Maddux’s storied career.

Any conversation about the 90s (and early 00s) Braves doesn't get far without reminiscing about the brilliance of Greg Maddux, Tom Glavine and John Smoltz. On Tuesday, April 14, baseball fans will get to re-live some of his greatest moments as MLB Network declared it ‘Greg Maddux Day’ for all to enjoy on his 54th birthday.

  • 10:00 a.m.Chicago Cubs at San Francisco Giants, August 7, 2004 – Maddux wins his 300th career game in a Cubs victory.
  • 12:30 p.m.Cleveland Indians at Atlanta Braves, 1995 World Series, Game One – Maddux throws a complete game in a Braves victory on 95 pitches.
  • 3:00 p.m.Atlanta Braves at New York Yankees, 1996 World Series, Game Two – Maddux throws eight shutout innings in a Braves victory.
  • 5:00 p.m.MLB Network Presents: Atlanta Rules, The Story of the ’90s Braves
  • 6:00 p.m.Milwaukee Brewers at Atlanta Braves, May 2, 2001 – Maddux strikes out a career-high 14 and lowers his ERA to 1.94.
  • 10:00 p.m. Cleveland Indians at Atlanta Braves, 1995 World Series, Game One – Maddux throws a complete game in a Braves victory on 95 pitches.
