The Atlanta Braves had plenty of great teams throughout their run through the 90s but the 98 squad might have been the best of the group. Atlanta won 106 regular season games, swept the Cubs in the NLDS setting up a showdown with the San Diego Padres in the League Championship Series. Unfortunately, Atlanta’s offense went in the tank as they fell behind 3-0 series. The Braves rallied to win two straight in San Diego but returned home only to lose 5-0 in Game 6.
