The Atlanta Braves’ draft class now appears to be complete. MLB Pipeline’s Jim Callis reported overnight that fifth round pick Bryce Elder has signed with the Braves for an overslot deal of $850k.
5th-rder Bryce Elder signs with @Braves for $850k (slot 156 value = $336,600). Texas RHP, one of best sliders in @MLBDraft, also has low-90s sinker, ability to manipulate breaking ball into a curve and effective changeup. High-floor guy. @MLBDraft

Elder was projected by many to be a third round selection but Atlanta was able to float enough money down to nab him in the fifth round. Both first round pick Jared Shuster and Jesse Franklin signed earlier this week for underslot deals.
All four of the Braves’ 2020 draft picks have reportedly signed on although the team has yet to confirm. Atlanta has also reportedly inked six undrafted players including UGA shortstop Cam Shepherd.
