The Atlanta Braves released their Opening Day roster for the 2020 season Thursday morning. The biggest question mark coming into the announcement was in regards to the health of Johan Camargo who suffered a mild hamstring strain in an intrasquad game this past weekend. Camargo was slated to go through another full workout Thursday morning and is part of the Opening Day roster

The Braves will initially carry 16 pitchers and 14 position players. Tyler Matzek and Matt Adams were non-roster players that both made the Opening Day roster.

The Braves also announced a series of roster moves today including activating Freddie Freeman and Touki Toussaint from the injured list. Yonder Alonso was outrighted to the team’s alternate training site in Gwinnett. The team also placed Cole Hamels on the 45-Day injured list and selected the contracts of Matt Adams and Tyler Matzek.
