The Braves offense went wild on Friday night as they chased Aaron Nola, who was very clearly off, early. Thanks to another strong start from Max Fried and that offensive explosion led by Marcell Ozuna and Travis d’Arnaud, the Braves secured a much needed win.
While the lineup going wild despite the fact that Ronald Acuna Jr. and Ozzie Albies were not active is the headline, the pitching was quite as well. Max Fried battled some less than stellar umpiring to go five innings and Ynoa, Luka Jackson, and Chris Martin locked down the remaining four innings.
