The Atlanta Braves came from behind again Friday night but ultimately fell in 11 innings to the Philadelphia Phillies on a three-run walk-off home run by Scott Kingery. They will look to get back on track Saturday afternoon when the series continues in a nationally televised game on FOX.

Josh Tomlin will be on the mound for the Braves and will be making his third start since moving into the rotation. Tomlin pitched well in a relief role allowing six hits and two runs to go along with 16 strikeouts in 11 1/3 innings. As a starter, he has allowed 12 hits and six runs with seven strikeouts in seven innings. Tomlin allowed six hits and four runs including three homers in just three innings in last Sunday’s start against the Phillies. He will be looking to keep the ball in the yard on Saturday and give the Braves a bit more length after an extra inning game on Friday.

The Phillies will counter with right-hander Zach Eflin who matched up against Tomlin last Sunday where he pitched well to help Philadelphia secure a win. Eflin allowed six hits and three runs over 5 1/3 innings and struck out six while walking three. He has allowed 22 hits and 11 earned runs through four starts in August.

Braves outfielder Adam Duvall left Friday’s game in the fifth inning due to a sore right Achilles. He was replaced by Ender Inciarte who homered in the seventh. Atlanta says that Duvall is day-to-day but will likely get a day off on Saturday.
