The Daily Chop: Happy New Year!

Here is to hoping 2021 is a good one.

2020 is now in the rearview mirror and here is hoping that 2021 is much better to all of us. The MLB offseason is set to resume hopefully soon and the Atlanta Braves and Major League Baseball will be returning at some point in the near future. We have plenty of good things planned for the months ahead and we thank everyone for coming along on the ride with us.

The great Sarah Langs put together one incredible stat for each team from 2020 over at For the Atlanta Braves that stat came on September 9 when they scored 29 runs against the Marlins coming just one run short of tying the Modern Era record. However, the franchise had two games before 1900 in which they scored 29 and 30 runs back in 1883 when they were known as the Boston Beaneaters.

The Mets have signed former Braves outfielder Tony Tarasco to serve as the team’s first-base coach. Tarasco replaces Tony DeFrancesco who was reassigned to another position within the organization.
