The Atlanta Braves announced a couple of roster moves prior to Friday’s series opener against the New York Mets. The team selected the contract of right-hander Spencer Strider and recalled lefty Dylan Lee. Sean Newcomb was optioned to Gwinnett while Edgar Santana was placed on the 10-day injured list with a strained intercostal muscle.

Talking Chop’s Eric Cole was the first to report that Strider would be joining the major league club. It has been remarkable season for Strider who began the season at Low-A and has now advanced all the way to the majors.
