Yordan Alvarez, Jose Altuve open as World Series MVP favorites

Atlanta’s Freddie Freeman has the third best odds to take home the award per DraftKings Sportsbook.

The Atlanta Braves opened as underdogs to the Houston Astros in the 2021 World Series which will get underway Tuesday, October 26 in Houston. Atlanta’s underdog status is also reflected in the odds for who will take home World Series MVP.

Alvarez went 12-for-23 against Boston with a homer and five extra base hits to capture his first ALCS MVP award. His dominant performance against the Red Sox has him as the opening favorite to take home World Series MVP.

Eddie Rosario set a franchise record with 14 hits and slugged three home runs on his way to being named MVP of the NLCS. He is currently at +1200 along with Astros outfielder Kyle Tucker. Freddie Freeman currently has the best odds of any Braves player at +1100. Max Fried and Austin Riley are both just behind Rosario at +1500.
