Freddie Freeman, Ozzie Albies, Austin Riley, Adam Duvall, Max Fried named Silver Slugger Finalists

Accolade season is right around the corner and quite a few Braves players are finalists!

MLB: New York Mets at Atlanta Braves Brett Davis-USA TODAY Sports

We are a day away from the Atlanta Braves taking on the Houston Astros in the World Series and four Braves players were announced as finalists.

Reigning MVP Freddie Freeman got off to a notably poor start this season as he hit just .195/.326/.407 through the games first 31 games, a respectable .733 OPS for most players in the league but not for Freeman. Over the next 128 games Freeman went on to hit .324/.409/.526 to put his name back amongst the games most elite players.

Right next to Freeman, sat Ozzie Albies and all he did was hit .259/.310/.488 along with 30 homers, 20 stolen bases, 106 RBI, and 40 doubles all the while playing above average defense for his first breakout season in the bigs. Just two positions next to him is Austin Riley who put together quite the season of his own - hitting .303/.367/.531 with 33 homers, 107 RBI.

The three, along with Dansby Swanson, provided fans with one of the most incredible offensive seasons for an entire offense which has since seen the Braves propelled all the way to the World Series. Joining them is starting pitcher Max Fried who put together a magical season on the mound with a 3.04 ERA, 8.58 K/9, sizzling 2.23 BB/9 and another fantastic season at the plate that saw him hit .273/.322/.327 as well as this magical moment.

Behind them was none other than Adam Duvall, who was acquired for Alex Jackson, back on July 30th. Through 92 games for the Marlins Adam hit .232/.279/.489, a .786 OPS, and continued that pace hitting .222/.284/.495 (.779 OPS) along with 15 homers in 54 games to help the Braves secure first place.

The winners will be announced on November 11th on the MLB Network.
