UPDATE - Charlie Morton left Game 1 in the third inning with a lower leg injury. The Braves announced that he underwent X-rays which revealed a fractured right fibula which will cause him to miss the remainder of the World Series.
RHP Charlie Morton underwent X-rays tonight that revealed a right fibula fracture. He will miss the remainder of the World Series and is expected to be ready for Spring Training in 2022.

Charlie Morton left Game 1 of the World Series with one out in the third inning with an apparent lower body injury. Morton appeared to land funny after throwing a curveball that struck out Jose Altuve to begin the inning.

Morton walked off the field under his own power and was replaced by A.J. Minter.
UPDATE: Morton was struck in the ankle area with a ground ball off the bat of Yuli Gurriel in the second inning. Per The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal, he came back out in the third but the area swelled up and he was unable to continue.
Morton was injured on the comebacker that went off his right ankle, per Braves source. The ankle swelled up on him, and it was too painful for him to continue.
