On a day during which we have seen a lot of media members lamenting the Braves for trying to win baseball games in the World Series, we’re bringing you the content that the people need. Joc Pederson’s now world famous pearl necklace broke last night, as reported by Sports Illustrated’s Stephanie Apstein.
Breaking (literally): Joc Pederson’s necklace snapped last night. His jeweler is flying to Atlanta today with a replacement. https://t.co/t2IJZNVejU

The question of how Joc managed to break his necklace on a night in which he didn’t enter the game remains a mystery, although it is perhaps related to the Burgundy Boys wine club in the Braves clubhouse, but I will update this post if the answer comes to light.
Fortunately, Pederson’s jeweler is flying to Atlanta with a replacement, because merely fixing the necklace would be insufficient, on a flight that some Braves fans are dubbing “The Pearler Express”. This should be reassuring to Braves fans concerned about the absence of the famous pearls messing with whatever good mojo the team has had going on this special run this fall.
Rest assured, it appears we should see pearls around the lefty outfielder’s neck tonight for Game 4 in Atlanta.
