Pieces are coming off the board fairly rapidly at this point. Today’s activity: Jon Jay, Greg Bird, Ben Gamel, Shane Carle, David Phelps, Brian Goodwin, and Jake Marisnick have all found new homes.
On the flip side, these moves and others have created some opportunities. Old friend Brad Brach was designated for assignment by the Mets; Derek Fisher was cut by the Blue Jays after they added Phelps. There are still plenty of options for the Braves to deploy to round out their roster; we’ll just have to see which ones they opt for.
