On Thursday, Braves beat writer Mark Bowman shared some thoughts and insight into the minds of the decision-makers in Atlanta. His piece included mentions of free agent targets who have signed elsewhere, trade targets who have been traded elsewhere, and one major puzzle piece who remains unsigned: Marcell Ozuna. In addition, Bowman makes mention of potential trade targets Jose Ramirez, whom the Braves would presumably have great interest in acquiring, and Kris Bryant, whom Bowman notes would not be of interest to Atlanta. This leaves a very paltry remainder and each day feels as though it pushes us closer to the inevitable re-signing of Nick Markakis to be the starting left fielder. Let’s hope Ozuna talks progress or the Indians fully commit to their rebuild by trading Ramirez.
Braves News
Braves haven’t given up on re-signing Marcell Ozuna. There’s a difference in dollars, but they haven’t replaced him, he hasn’t found another job and spring is 2 weeks away.

This tweet from Heyman would seem to suggest that the Braves may be the best suitor for Ozuna, but that certainly doesn’t guarantee a reunion.

Where should Braves rank among National League teams?
What do you think? It would be tough to argue for them being higher than third, and you could make a compelling case for a couple others in that spot.
