We’re in February, but don’t let the snow piling up at a rate of two inches per hour outside my window fool you — pandemic- and universe-permitting, the Braves are getting close to that Spring Training feeling. And also, not just feelings — actual Spring Training activity stuff!
In particular, MLB has announced first workout dates for teams today. Take a look:

All teams are getting “started” in the same three-day window. Actually, it’s the same two-day window for everyone except the Twins and Mets, whose pitchers and catchers are delayed by a day.
Everything remains, of course, a fluid situation due to the pandemic and continued finagling by both MLB and the Players’ Association so stay tuned. The current plan is for the Braves to open their Grapefruit League slate on February 27 while visiting the Orioles in Sarasota, though things may get rejiggered due to the incipient “pods” proposal.
