The Atlanta Braves are back at it on Monday when they will make the trip to Ft. Myers to take on the Boston Red Sox. Huascar Ynoa is scheduled to get the start for the Braves while Boston will counter with right-hander Garrett Richards.
Brian Snitker told reporters Sunday that the plan was to stretch Ynoa out as a starter during the spring so that he would be ready if they needed him in the rotation or as a multi-inning relief option. Ynoa made nine appearances in 2020 posting a 5.82 ERA in 21 2/3 innings pitched.
Ronald Acuna Jr., Ozzie Albies and Cristian Pache will make their spring debuts Monday for the Braves. Johan Camargo will get the start at shortstop while William Contreras will be behind the plate.
First pitch is scheduled for 1:05 p.m. ET and Monday’s game can be seen on MLB Network and MLB.tv.
