The Atlanta Braves will make the short trip to Fort Myers Wednesday where they will take on the Boston Red Sox. After a brief delay, Max Fried is scheduled to make his 2021 spring debut for the Braves in Wednesday’s game. Fried was scheduled to pitch last week but was scratched as a precaution due to a possible COVID exposure. He will jump in the mix Wednesday and will still be on track for the start of the season. Matt Andriese will get the start for Boston.
After rolling out most of their starters Tuesday, the Braves will be largely deploying reserves against Boston with the exception of Cristian Pache who will be leading off and playing center field.
