Langeliers drew positive reviews from his work at the alternate site last season and that carried over into the spring. He has appeared in six spring games going 2-for-11 at the plate with a double and a home run. There is no questioning Langeliers’ ability behind the plate as he has the tools to develop into one of the better defensive catchers around.
The Braves opened camp with 67 players. They trimmed 24 players from the roster last Friday in their first round of cuts. Atlanta has 14 exhibition games remaining.
