Ian Anderson strikes out nine in Braves exhibition win over Twins
The Braves rallied late to beat the Twins in Friday’s spring game action, but the wins and losses don’t really matter in spring. Ian Anderson looked great for most of his start until the last few batters where things went a bit sideways. The Braves’ bench competition is looking more and more interesting, too.
Alex Anthopoulos hopes quantity turns into quality for Braves bullpen
We have mentioned in a few spaces that while the Braves bullpen is likely to be pretty good, the odds are that they won’t be quite as good as last year’s stellar unit. In Yung Gabe’s article here, AA talks about how the Braves are hoping the numbers game they are currently playing leads to another breakout performance or two.
Soroka takes a step toward return
There seems to be a lot more optimism that Mike Soroka will be able to take the mound for the Atlanta Braves professional baseball club before the end of April. He pitched in a sim game and everything went well including covering first base....except for Michael Harris giving him fits but that may not exactly be a bad thing, either.

Nats’ Will Harris sidelined by blood clot
Kinda scary news from Nationals camp as reliever Will Harris got diagnosed with a blood clot in his arm and he is out for a while. Blood clots are generally never good news and can be symptoms of bigger health issues, so we are sending our well wishes Harris’ way.
Yelich feels healthy in return to action
Christian Yelich had an MVP campaign torpedoed by a freak injury from a foul ball and during the 2020 season, he was very clearly not himself. Now, it looks like that he is feeling good in camp and could be ready to a return to form.
