The Grapefruit League schedule continues Saturday afternoon for the Atlanta Braves when they take on the Boston Red Sox at CoolToday Park. Bryse Wilson will be making his fourth appearance for the Braves this spring and is looking to remain in contention for the final spot in the starting rotation to begin the season. Wilson allowed five hits over four scoreless innings against the Pirates in his last start. Interestingly, he ended the game with no walks or strikeouts. He has allowed 10 hits and two runs over nine innings this spring while striking out six and walking one.
Martin Perez will get the start for the Red Sox. Perez faced Atlanta in his last appearance and allowed just two hits over four scoreless innings to go along with five strikeouts.
Freddie Freeman, Marcell Ozuna and Austin Riley are back in the Braves’ lineup for the second straight day on Saturday. They will go without the DH in this one with Wilson penciled into the ninth slot in the order.
