The Atlanta Braves return to North Port Thursday for another matchup against the Tampa Bay Rays. Drew Smyly will be on the mound for Atlanta while Michael Wacha will get the start for the Rays.
Smyly has been working in sim games and will be seeing his first Grapefruit League action since March 9. He will be making his third appearance overall. He was knocked around in his last outing allowing eight hits and five runs in just two innings against the Pirates.
Wacha will be making his fourth start of the spring for Tampa. He has been sharp so far allowing just two hits over seven scoreless innings.
The Braves will roll out what is expected to be their Opening Day lineup Thursday against Tampa.
